Customer portal and multi-invoice payment

One link per customer with all their invoices, their balance by currency, and payment of several in a single charge. If part of the money is refunded later, the refund is allocated across the invoices it paid.

What your customer owes, in one place

Accounts payable teams don't pay invoice by invoice: they review everything outstanding with a supplier and settle several at once. The customer portal gives them exactly that, without creating an account and without asking you for a statement by email.

What's included

  • One link per customer: it gathers their issued invoices with status, due date and downloads. You create, send, rotate or turn it off from the customer profile, and every action is recorded in the audit log.
  • Balance by currency: if the customer has invoices in pesos and in dollars, they see two balances. Cord never adds up amounts in different currencies.
  • Paying several invoices: the customer picks which ones to pay and Cord sets the allocation when the charge is created, using each invoice's real balance, not whatever the browser sends. One charge settles each invoice separately, and each keeps its own history.
  • Allocated refunds: from Cord, the refund is requested on one of the invoices and goes to that invoice, up to what the charge applied to it, or returns the whole charge. A refund issued outside Cord reopens the balance invoice by invoice, from the last one applied to the first, each one in full or not at all. The refund always knows which invoice it belongs to.
  • Private by design: the link is the credential. It is not shared as a referrer with other sites, not cached, not indexed and carries no analytics. It lives on cordhq.app, never on your business's own domain, because it is a surface where people pay.

Clear limits

Paying online from the portal requires Cord Payments to be active. With Mercado Pago as the only rail, the customer sees their invoices and balance, and pays each one from its own link. Only invoices linked to a customer appear, and a substituted CFDI is not listed: its replacement is.

How it works

  1. From the customer profile, create their portal link and send it.

  2. The customer reviews their invoices, picks which ones to pay and pays them in a single charge.

  3. Cord applies the payment to each invoice with the allocation set when the charge was created, and a later refund is allocated the same way.

Availability and scope

A customer's issued invoices, balance by currency and grouped payment by card and, once active, direct debit. Online payment is available where Cord Payments operates.

Clear limits

The portal never adds up currencies or lets the customer pay an amount other than each chosen invoice's real balance. It doesn't replace each invoice's own link, which keeps working. Without Cord Payments, it shows the invoices but doesn't collect from the portal.
