Payments dashboard
Everything that comes in through Cord Payments, in one place: what you collected, what’s net, when it reaches your bank, and what needs attention.
What it is
Payments (sidebar › Revenue) is the dashboard to see money that already came in: collected, net of fees, payouts, disputes, and the health of your payments account. It’s different from Settings › Payments, where you configure Cord Payments across four tabs: Account (verification), Payment methods, Payouts, and Fees.
Requirements
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Plan | All plans. |
| Permission | Collections. Without it, the page shows “No access”. |
| Refunds | Also the Refunds permission, which the owner grants explicitly. |
| Payments account | Needed for Available balance, Deposits, Net deposited, Open disputes, and Where every peso goes. Without it, those widgets don’t appear and the rest works with your recorded payments. |
Date range and customization
- Date range: the selector at the top applies to every period widget (up to one year back). Changing it updates the whole dashboard at once. It’s remembered in your browser and written into the page address, so a copied link opens the same period. Balance, Deposits, and Account status always show the current state.
- Customize: the sliders-icon button enters edit mode. There, three round icon buttons with tooltips appear: Library, Reset (restores the original layout), and Done. You can drag, use Move up and Move down, choose Compact or Expanded, and hide any widget, also with the keyboard. The configuration is personal and follows you to other devices. On a phone, widgets are reordered with 44 px move up, move down, and hide buttons. The details are in Home and views.
- Library: a floating card (a bottom sheet on a phone) with search, thumbnails, and the Add button. Besides bringing back widgets you hid, you can add Recurring contracts (current recurring revenue from your retainers). Widgets that need the payments account don’t appear in the library until you have one.
The widgets
Your money today
Available balance. How much is available for payout, how much is still on the way (collected but not released yet), and how much is reserved.
Deposits. Transfers to your bank account with arrival date, amount, currency, and status: Scheduled, In transit, Deposited, Failed, or Canceled. The history is stored in Cord and survives frequency changes. If there are none yet, the widget says so. See Payouts to your bank.
Account status. Three independent indicators:
| Indicator | What it says |
|---|---|
| Payments | Whether your account can collect online right now (Active / Inactive). |
| Payouts | Whether it can transfer to your bank, and to which account (“Payouts to [bank] ••••1234”). |
| Verification | Whether it’s complete, how many requirements are missing, how many are under review, and their deadline. |
When something is pending, Manage appears and takes you to complete it in Settings › Payments › Account. If you haven’t activated Cord Payments yet, the widget explains it: you can quote and record manual payments, but not collect online with Cord Payments. In Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Peru, where Cord Payments isn’t available, it tells you that collecting inside the link is turned on with Mercado Pago.
Key indicators
Collected. The amount collected in the period, the number of transactions, the change versus the previous period, and a daily mini chart. It includes manually recorded payments.
Net deposited. What you collected after the Cord Payments fee, with the period’s fee and the effective rate (which varies with the methods your customers pay with). If the period has more than 1,000 transactions, it warns that it’s a partial sample.
Active retainers. How many recurring payment contracts are active and how many have a failed charge that needs attention.
Open disputes. How many chargebacks there are in the period and the amount at stake, with the response deadline for each. Each dispute opens its evidence page. With no disputes, it says so.
Movement and reconciliation
Collection over time. Money that came in day by day, against the same number of days in the previous period (in a lighter tone).
Monthly volume. What you collected month by month within the period.
Where every peso goes. From the gross collected: how much lands net in your bank, how much went to fees, how much was deducted for refunds, and how much is tied up in disputes.
Breakdown by method. How much you collected by card, SPEI, bank transfer (with a reference), and manual transfer, with the number of transactions. Tap a method to filter the recent payments table.
Recent payments. Number, customer, method, date, and amount of the latest payments. With the Refunds permission, every reconciled payment has a Refund button. See Refunds.
Where the data comes from
- Collected, Retainers, Monthly volume, Breakdown by method, and Recent payments come from payments recorded in Cord, so they load with the page.
- Balance, Deposits, Net, Where every peso goes, and Disputes fill in a few seconds later with your payments account’s information. If that request fails, you’ll see “Could not refresh the dashboard” instead of made-up numbers.
- Mercado Pago payments are recorded as payments, but their balance and payouts live in your Mercado Pago account.
Limits
- The dashboard doesn’t show which payments make up each payout; the breakdown is in Settings › Payments › Payouts (see Payouts to your bank).
- It doesn’t include invoices pending collection: for what you’re owed, use Collections.
- Mercado Pago chargebacks and mediations don’t appear in Disputes: you see them on the invoice or the quote and in Tasks. See Disputes and chargebacks.
Common problems
Balance and Deposits don’t appear. Your payments account isn’t connected yet.
Net deposited says “We couldn’t reconcile the fees”. The request to your payments account failed. Reload later.
I don’t see the Refund button. You need the Refunds permission, and the payment must have been reconciled through Cord Payments. This table lists quote payments: an invoice payment is refunded from the invoice’s detail page (see Refunds).
