Home and quote views

A snapshot of your sales operation when you sign in, and your pipeline as a list or a board.

What it is

Home is the first screen when you sign in to Cord. At the top, pinned, is the money indicator with the date picker; below it, a board of widgets you can reorder, resize, hide, and extend from the Widget library. Your full pipeline lives in Quotes, with a List view and a Board view.

Home on desktop: the Customize button at the top right; the money indicator with Closed, Collected and Quoted shows $1,284,500.00 MXN closed in the last 30 days, +18% vs. the previous period, with the range note and the currency note (sales in USD and EUR are added converted to MXN). Below, the widgets in their default order, each with its Today or Range scope: In progress, Close rate (38%, +4 pts), Average ticket (+6%), Needs follow-up, Conversion funnel, Pipeline, Monthly trend, Receivables aging, Expected cash flow · 5 weeks, Pipeline health and the client and product rankings.

Requirements

Requirement Detail
Permission Every member sees Home. The analytics widgets require Reports; Receivables aging and Overdue invoices require Collections. A widget your permission doesn’t allow isn’t drawn and doesn’t appear in the library.
Plan The indicator, KPIs, funnel, trend, rankings, lists, and tasks are on every plan. Expected cash flow, Pipeline health, and Needs follow-up take their data from the finance panel, as do Receivables aging and Expected pipeline: all five exist from Pro; on Free and Starter they don’t appear and the library doesn’t offer them.

Everything in your business currency and time zone

Every amount on Home is expressed in your business currency (the one in Settings), even if you sell in several. Each sale in another currency is converted with the exchange rate set on that quote or invoice and, when it has none, with today’s published rate. If no exchange rate is available for a currency, those sales are left out of the sum instead of being added with a made-up rate. When you sell in more than one currency, this note appears under the indicator:

Amounts in {currency}. Sales in {currencies} are converted with the exchange rate set on each quote or invoice, or with today’s published rate when there is none.

and, if one was left out: “No exchange rate is available for {currencies}, so those sales are not included for now.”

Days are counted in your business time zone: “today”, “yesterday”, and the cut-off of each day are yours, not the server’s.

The money indicator

At the very top, pinned (it can’t be moved or hidden), is the period amount with three metrics to choose from:

Metric What it adds up Date it uses
Closed The total of won quotes (Approved, Paid, or Invoiced). The approval date.
Collected Money that came in: quote and invoice payments, minus refunds. Same definition as the Payments received report. The payment date.
Quoted The total of quotes that left draft. The creation date.

Next to the amount you see the change vs. previous period and, below, the period’s chart with the previous period as a reference. If the previous period adds up to zero, no change is shown: a “+100%” against nothing says nothing.

Date picker

The picker starts at Last 30 days. Options: Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, This month, Last month, This quarter, Year to date, Last 12 months, and Custom (with From, To, Cancel, and Apply). Home keeps 12 months of history, so you can’t pick an earlier date.

  • The range is remembered in your browser, not in the page address. When you come back to Home in the same browser you see the last range you picked; in another browser or device it starts at Last 30 days. An old link with ?rango= is honored once and the address is cleaned up.
  • Changing the range updates the indicator, KPIs, funnel, trend, and rankings without reloading the page. Cards waiting for new data are marked busy instead of showing the previous range’s numbers.

As the note under the indicator says: “The range applies to revenue, trend, funnel and rankings. Receivables, pipeline and health always show today.”

Scope tag: Today, Range, or All time

Every widget with data carries a tag that says which time window it measures. Hover over it to see the explanation:

Tag Meaning (tooltip text)
Today “A snapshot of right now; it does not follow the date picker.”
Range “Follows the date range selected above.”
All time “Your whole history, regardless of the range.”

That way you don’t compare a range number with a snapshot of today without noticing.

KPIs with change

Close rate, Average ticket, and the optional Collected follow the range, are compared against the previous period, and carry a mini chart.

KPI How it is calculated Subtitle Change Mini chart
Close rate Of the quotes that went out in the range (by creation date), what percentage has been won. It is a cohort: it doesn’t mix what was created in one period with what closed in another. “{g} of {n} sent in the range” or “No quotes sent in this range” In points (38% → 43% = 5 pts), not percent. Progress bar with the rate.
Average ticket What closed in the range divided by the number of sales that make it up (by approval date). “across {n} closed quotes” or “No closed sales in this range” In %. Closed amount per day.
Collected (optional) Money that came in during the range, net of refunds. “vs. {amount} the previous period” or “No previous period to compare” In %. Collected amount per day.

Comparison rules:

  • The previous period has the same number of days and ends the day before your range starts. For “Last 30 days” it’s the previous 30 days; for “This month” mid-month, the same number of days right before.
  • No base, no change. If the previous period is zero, or falls before the 12 months of history (for example with Last 12 months), the arrow isn’t drawn and the subtitle says “No previous period to compare”.
  • The mini chart goes by day up to about 45 days; for longer ranges it groups by week.
  • A KPI without data shows a dash (—), not a zero.

The widgets

In their default order:

Widget (name in the library) What it shows Scope Requires
In progress Sum of Sent and Viewed quotes, “{n} active quotes”, and a bar that splits how much is only sent and how much the client has already opened. Today —
Close rate See KPIs with change. Range Reports
Average ticket See KPIs with change. Range Reports
Needs follow-up (KPI) How many quotes are Viewed without a reply from the client. Opens Quotes. Today —

Optional widgets (start hidden)

These live in the library until you add them. A new widget never shows up by surprise on a board you already customized.

Widget What it shows Scope Requires
Sent to paid Percentage of sent quotes that ended up paid, with the Sent / Paid breakdown. “Conversion across your whole history”. All time Reports
Expected pipeline Probability-weighted open pipeline today, with the unweighted open pipeline. Today Reports · Pro or higher
Collected KPI with change and mini chart: “Money that came in during the range and how it compares to the previous period”. Range Reports
Days to close “Average days from creating a quote to winning it”. All time Reports
Overdue invoices “{n} overdue · {amount}” and the overdue invoices that weigh the most, with “{n} d overdue” and their balance. Link View all → to Invoices. Today Collections
Sales leaderboard “Who on the team closes the most value”: the 5 members with the highest closed amount. Link View all → to Performance. All time Reports

Plan and permission are not the same

Without the permission, the widget disappears: it isn’t drawn, its data doesn’t reach your browser, and the library doesn’t offer it. Without the plan, the same happens with Expected cash flow, Pipeline health, Needs follow-up, Receivables aging, and Expected pipeline: they don’t appear, instead of showing empty or zero as if your receivables were empty.

Customize Home

Entering and leaving edit mode

  1. Click Customize (sliders icon) in the top bar.
  2. Three round icon buttons replace it, each with its name in a tooltip on hover:
    • Library (grid with a +): opens the Widget library. It shows a counter with how many widgets you have to add.
    • Reset (undo arrow): asks “Reset the dashboard’s widget order and hidden widgets?” and, if you confirm, goes back to the default order, sizes, and widgets. Optional widgets go back to the library.
    • Done (check mark, navy fill): leaves edit mode.
  3. While you edit, widget content doesn’t respond to clicks (so you don’t open a quote by accident while dragging) and each widget shows its control bar.

Desktop

  • Move: drag the widget from anywhere on it; the others rearrange as you move it and the page scrolls by itself near the edge. Move up and Move down do the same with one click.
  • Size: Compact or Expanded. It only appears on widgets that have two sizes; an indicator without a chart or detail has a single honest size. In Expanded, lists use two columns and KPIs put the mini chart beside the number.
  • Hide: the X button. The widget moves to the library and the Library button pulses once and adds one to its counter. Hiding a widget doesn’t delete data or change calculations.

Keyboard

All of edit mode works with a keyboard:

  • Tab goes through each widget’s Move up, Move down, Compact, Expanded, and Hide; focus stays on the widget you moved.
  • Escape closes the library if it’s open and returns focus to its button; otherwise it leaves edit mode and returns focus to Customize. During a drag, it cancels it and the widget goes back to its place.
  • Screen readers announce “{widget} moved”, “{widget} added to the board”, and “{widget} hidden; find it in the library”.

Mobile

Below 880 px widgets stack in one column and can’t be dragged. In edit mode, each widget shows Move up, Move down, and Hide as 44 px buttons; the size selector isn’t shown. The three top-bar buttons are also 44 px and have no tooltip.

The widget library

Home in edit mode: at the top right, the Library (with 6 widgets to add), Reset and Done buttons; each widget has its edit bar. The library floats over the board with the "Search widgets…" box, the All widgets, To add, KPIs, Pipeline, Finance, Rankings and Activity categories with their counts, and cards with thumbnails: first the ones you can add (Sent to paid, Expected pipeline, Collected, Days to close, Overdue invoices and Sales leaderboard), then the ones already on screen.

Click Library in edit mode. On desktop it opens as a floating card anchored to the button; on mobile, as a bottom sheet over a dimmed background.

  • Header: “Widget library” and the summary “{n} to add · {m} on screen”. The X (“Close library”) closes it.
  • Search: “Search widgets…” searches the name, the description, and the category. With no matches it says “No results”.
  • Categories, each with its count: All widgets, To add, and one per group: KPIs, Pipeline, Finance, Rankings, and Activity (a widget without a group falls under Other). Group categories only appear when the board has more than one group.
  • Cards: each widget comes with a thumbnail drawn with the same data it has on your board today (your range, your numbers), its name, and its description. The ones you can add come first.
  • Add: the + button (“Add {widget}”) puts it on the board, scrolls it into view, and highlights it for a moment. The ones already visible show a check mark and On screen, disabled.
  • It isn’t modal: with the library open on desktop you can keep rearranging the board and add several widgets in a row. Escape or a click outside closes it. On mobile, the sheet closes by itself after you add so you see where the widget landed, and the search box isn’t focused automatically (the keyboard would cover the sheet).
  • What you can’t use doesn’t appear. A widget your permission or plan doesn’t allow isn’t in the library, and a layout saved before you lost access doesn’t bring it back.

Where your layout is saved

Your layout (order, sizes, and hidden widgets) is personal: it’s saved in your browser and in your user for that organization, so it follows you to other devices. If you change the layout on two devices, the most recent complete change wins, without mixing the two. It doesn’t change what your teammates see, and each organization you belong to has its own layout.

Every screen with widgets saves its own separately: Home, each report in Reports, Payments, Collections, AI collections, and Performance use the same buttons and the same library.

Quotes: List and Board

In Quotes, above the list you see the value of your open quotes, the value already approved and, if there are internal approval requests, how many are awaiting your approval.

List view

The default view is a table with Quote, Client, Terms, Valid until, Total, and Status. The filter pills carry their counts; each filter is described in Quote management. Click a row to open the detail.

Board view

Click Board, next to List. Each column shows its number of quotes and the sum of their totals:

Column Statuses it groups
Draft Draft
Sent Sent
Viewed Viewed
Approved Approved
Paid Paid and Invoiced

Rejected and expired quotes don’t appear on the board; you find them in the List with the Closed filter.

Board view with the five columns and their count and total (Sent · 4 · $186,400 MXN); the COT-0149 card is dragged from Viewed to Approved, which turns green because the move is valid.

Valid moves on the board

Dragging a card runs the real action, it doesn’t just change a label. There are only three valid destinations; the column turns green when the move is allowed:

You drag to From What it does Permission
Sent Draft Sends the quote exactly like Send to client: activates the link, emails the client if they have an email, and on Free uses one of the month’s sends. Quotes
Approved Sent or Viewed Marks it as approved on the client’s behalf, like Mark approved: enables payment and, if you asked for a deposit, creates the payment plan. No client signature is recorded. Approvals
Paid Approved or Invoiced Records the payment manually, like Record payment, and cancels pending online charges. Quotes

Any other move, including moving a card back, is rejected with “That move isn’t valid in the pipeline.” If the server rejects the action (for example, over permissions or the send cap), the card returns to its column and you see the reason.

There’s no board on mobile. Below 880 px, Quotes shows only the list, with each quote on two lines. To move a quote forward, open it and use the detail’s buttons.

Common problems

I don’t see the funnel or the trend, and they aren’t in the library either. Your role doesn’t have the Reports permission. Ask whoever manages the team.

I don’t see Expected cash flow, Pipeline health, or Needs follow-up. Your plan doesn’t include the finance panel (Pro or higher) or your role lacks the Reports permission.

Pipeline health or Expected cash flow shows zeros. You have no open quotes and no collections expected in the coming weeks.

I changed the range and a widget didn’t change. Check its tag: Today and All time don’t follow the picker.

The change doesn’t appear. The previous period is zero or falls outside the 12 months of history.

An amount looks low and I sell in several currencies. Read the note under the indicator: a currency without an available exchange rate is left out of the sum until one exists.

I see a different range on another device. The range is remembered per browser; the board layout does follow you.

I can’t drag a widget. You’re on a phone (use Move up and Move down) or you haven’t clicked Customize.

I can’t drag a card on the Quotes board. You’re on a phone, or the destination isn’t valid for the current status.
