Create an account: Overview

Set up your workspace in minutes to quote, collect payments, and invoice.

Your account, ready step by step

Cord is available to businesses in the 12 markets currently offered: Mexico, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Peru. After you create your account, the floating Set up Cord widget organizes 11 tasks into 5 sections and updates its progress as you complete each one; you can minimize it without losing your progress.

  1. Set up your business
    • Customize your brand: logo, color, and contact details for your public link.
    • Complete your tax details: your country’s invoicing identity — in Mexico, RFC, tax regime, and postal code to stamp CFDI 4.0 (and then the CSD); outside Mexico, your legal name, your local tax ID, and your address.
    • Customize your PDF and portal: the message, terms, and welcome copy that go on your PDFs and portal.
  2. Build your catalog
    • Create your catalog: add at least one product or service.
    • Add your clients: register your first client.
  3. Close your first sale
    • Create your first quote: manually or with Cord AI.
    • Send your first quote: to the prospect’s email, or by sharing the link.
  4. Get paid
    • Turn on online payments: connect Cord Payments (card and, depending on your country, SPEI, bank transfer with a reference, or bank debit) or, where applicable, Mercado Pago. In Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Peru, where Cord Payments isn’t available, the step is completed with Mercado Pago.
    • Charge and invoice: the task is marked once your first quote is paid —online or marked by hand— or invoiced.
  5. Grow your operation

Every task marks itself done automatically as soon as Cord detects the change in your account — no checkbox to tick by hand. The section open by default is always the first one you still have pending.

Tip: Do you have multiple companies? Cord is multi-company. You can manage several companies or legal entities from a single login. The setup widget tracks progress independently per company, so one company’s progress never mixes with another’s.
