Complete app map

An end-to-end view of where each operation in Cord starts, changes and ends.

Cord organizes work around a single sales cycle: register the client, prepare the offer, negotiate, approve, collect, invoice and follow up. The sections are not isolated databases; they show different stages of the same clients, documents and transactions.

The main flow

  1. Create or import the client in Clients.
  2. Create reusable products, services or kits in Products.
  3. Prepare a quote by hand, from a kit or with an AI draft.
  4. Send the link. Cord records your client’s first view and keeps the document’s activity.
  5. The client discusses, approves or rejects and, when applicable, pays online.
  6. Cord records the online payment or the payment you mark manually.
  7. The deal moves to Invoices and Collections based on the document issued, the balance and the due date. Your client can pay several invoices from their invoice portal or leave automatic payments on.
  8. Reports and Performance aggregate the results without creating a second copy of the transaction.
The app on desktop over Home: the sidebar with the Materiales del Valle switcher, one pinned client, the daily shortcuts with their keys, the Revenue, Insights and Automation groups with 3 quotes to follow up and 2 overdue accounts, and the top bar with Search, Create and unread notifications.

At the top of the sidebar is the organization switcher. From it you switch workspaces, create a new one (Create workspace), open Team settings, turn the Test environment on or off, and sign out.

Seven are widget boards, seven are tables with comparison and CSV export, and the Custom report builds your own, saves it for the team, and emails it. Guides: Reports and performance and Custom reports.
Insights Performance /app/desempeno Team performance across your whole history: results attributed to whoever created or duplicated each quote. For a range with comparison, use the Sales by team member report.
Automation Workflows /app/workflows “When this happens, do this” automations, ready-made ideas and run history. Guide: Cord Workflows.

Also:

  • Pinned. The pin button next to any page title (or the X key) adds it to the Pinned group at the top of the sidebar.
  • Collapsible groups. Revenue, Insights and Automation collapse with a click on their title.
  • Collapse the sidebar. The button at the bottom of the sidebar shrinks it to icons.
  • Settings (/app/ajustes) opens with the gear in the top bar. See the Settings map.
  • Set up with AI (/app/setup) opens from Settings › General.
  • Each client’s invoice portal isn’t in the sidebar: you create, send, or disable it from the client’s profile, and your client opens it on their own link (cordhq.app/portal/...). See Invoice portal.

Keyboard shortcuts

On desktop you can use these shortcuts when you are not typing in a field. On screens narrower than 880 px they are disabled and everything is done with visible buttons.

Shortcut Action
⌘K / Ctrl+K or / Open search
C New quote
F New invoice
T New task
G then D, C, L, P, T, F, O, B, A, E or W Go to Home, Quotes, Clients, Products, Tasks, Invoices, Payments, Collections, Reports, Performance or Workflows
X Pin or unpin the current page in the sidebar
? Show or hide the shortcuts help

The quote and invoice editor (/app/cotizaciones/nueva and /app/facturas/nueva, also for drafts with ?draft= and new versions with ?version=) has its own shortcuts: there / jumps to the catalog search, ⌘ Enter sends or issues, and ⌘ S saves the draft; ⌘K still opens search. See Preview and sending.

On a phone, the sidebar opens as a panel and includes shortcuts to Help and Settings.

The options you see depend on your permissions, your effective plan, your country of operation and the account’s setup state. A page existing does not mean any member can change it.

Test environment

The Test environment is an isolated copy of your organization for rehearsing without touching your real data: quotes, charges with test data, webhooks and integrations.

  1. Open the organization switcher at the top of the sidebar.
  2. Turn on Test environment.
  3. The app shows a Test mode strip with the notice “Everything you do here is a test — your real data is untouched”.
  4. To go back, select Exit test mode on the strip or turn the switch off.

From the strip you can also Clear test data to start over.

Keep in mind:

  • Test data does not mix with production: when you leave, you won’t see what you created inside.
  • Some real actions are not available in test mode: subscribing or changing plans, connecting a custom domain, and applying a Set up with AI proposal.
  • Test documents do not consume your plan’s allowance.

Guide for integrations: Test environments.

Cord Workbench

Cord Workbench is the developer panel. It appears as a pill in the bottom-right corner across the app when you turn on Developer mode in Your account › Preferences, and requires the Settings permission.

Its tabs are Overview, Logs, Errors, Events, Webhooks, Shell, API keys and Health: the log of every request, grouped errors, events with their deliveries, webhook endpoints, a Shell to try the API, keys and the status of your integration. Its Inspector finds any ID. Guide: Cord Workbench.

Quote statuses

Status Operational meaning
draft Editable draft not yet sent to the client.
sent Sent; the link is ready to be viewed.
viewed The client opened the quote for the first time. Your own visit doesn’t count.
approved The client recorded their approval. A balance may remain.
rejected The client rejected the proposal.
expired Its validity ended without closing.
paid The non-recurring flow was paid according to its recorded payments.
invoiced The deal already has an associated invoice.

A recurring quote does not become paid forever: each installment creates its own charge and the subscription keeps a separate status.

Active organization

Cord is multi-company. Every client, product, quote, invoice, member and setting belongs to the active organization. If you have access to more than one, check the organization switcher before importing, issuing or changing configuration.

Permissions that change the experience

The owner always has full access. Other members get presets or per-section permissions:

  • Quotes: create, edit, send and duplicate.
  • Approvals: approve discounts, amounts or controlled changes.
  • Collections: review and manage receivables.
  • Clients and Products: change their directories; with Clients, also create, send, rotate, or disable a client’s invoice portal.
  • Reports: open Reports and Performance, see Home’s analytics widgets, and save custom reports.
  • Settings: change the business configuration.
  • Payment settings: change Cord Payments and the payout account.
  • Refunds: start refunds of already reconciled online payments: quote payments, in Payments, and invoice payments, on the invoice’s detail page.
  • Team: invite people and change permissions.

If an action doesn’t appear, check the member’s permission first; then the plan and the configuration that feature requires.

What changes by country

  • Sign-up is available in 12 markets: Mexico, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Colombia, Argentina, Chile and Peru.
  • Cord Payments is available in Mexico, the United States, Canada, Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany and France. In Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Chile and Peru, online payments work with Mercado Pago, which is also offered in Mexico as an alternative.
  • SPEI is exclusive to Mexico. Bank transfer with a reference is for Spain, Germany, and France (in EUR), the United Kingdom (in GBP), and the United States (in USD). SEPA debit is for Spain, Germany, and France (in EUR); ACH bank debit, for the United States (in USD); Bacs Direct Debit, for the United Kingdom (in GBP); and pre-authorized debit, for Canada (in CAD). See Payment methods.
  • Mexico issues CFDI 4.0 with a valid CSD.
  • Outside Mexico, Cord issues standard invoices, not filed with a tax authority. In Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru, the invoice authorized by the tax authority when issuing is active on your account. In Spain, the invoice is registered with the AEAT through Verifactu (beta) if you uploaded your electronic certificate.

Before looking for an error

When something isn’t available, check in this order:

  1. active organization and test environment;
  2. the member’s permission;
  3. the plan’s limit or capability;
  4. country of operation and compatible method;
  5. required fields of the client, issuer or document;
  6. the previous status of the quote, invoice or payment.

Then read the section’s guide. The support center is for specific incidents; these guides explain the full model.
