Notifications
Find out the moment your client makes a decision, by email or Slack, without having to keep checking the dashboard.
How it works
Under Settings › Notifications there’s a matrix of 7 events by 2 channels (email and Slack). Check the boxes you want — every combination saves immediately and applies from that point on.
| Event | When it fires |
|---|---|
| Quote viewed | The client opened the public link |
| Quote approved | The client accepted the proposal |
| Quote rejected | The client rejected or countered |
| Payment received | An online payment was recorded |
| Quote about to expire | 3 days before the validity date |
| Overdue payment | A receivable passed its due date |
| Someone joined the team | An invitee accepted your invitation |
Before you save your matrix for the first time, Cord already emails you when a quote is approved, rejected, or paid — the three highest-value events, on by default. As soon as you save the screen once, your selection takes over: you can turn any of the three off or turn the rest on.
Email always goes to the business owner’s account (Settings › Your account). It’s never sent to the whole team — if several people need to know, use Slack.
Slack
Connect an Incoming Webhook from Slack on the same screen (Settings › Integrations) and check the Slack column for the events you want posted to your channel. The message includes the folio, the client, the total, and a direct link to the quote.
“Someone joined the team” has no Slack version. That alert isn’t tied to any quote (no folio, no amount to show in the channel), so it can only be received by email.
