Cord AI is the AI engine built into Cord that generates a quote draft from text, a PDF file, or an image. It extracts products and quantities and matches them against your real Cord catalog, instead of you keying in every line item by hand.

The end of manual data entry

Many sales start chaotically: a client sends you a massive WhatsApp message asking for 15 products, or forwards a scanned PDF with a bill of materials, or even sends a photo of handwritten notes.

Traditionally, you’d have to open that file and manually type product by product into the system, searching for prices one by one. Cord AI removes that data entry: it reads the file and hands you back a draft already built from your catalog.

How does Cord AI work?

On your Dashboard’s main screen, next to the “New quote” button, you’ll find the Generate with AI button.

Clicking it opens an assistant where you can provide input in three different ways:

1. Paste text (messages or emails)

If a client sends an email asking: “Hi, I need 5 annual software licenses, 2 high-end laptops, and 10 hours of training”, simply copy and paste that text into Cord AI.

  • The AI reads the text and searches your Cord catalog for matches (licenses, laptops, training).
  • It extracts the requested quantities and applies the base prices from your catalog automatically.

2. Upload a PDF file

If you take part in tenders or a client sends a scanned purchase order or requisition:

  • Upload the PDF file (it can have multiple pages).
  • Cord AI reads it with the same vision model it uses for a photo — no separate OCR engine —, maps the concepts to your SKUs, and pre-fills the line items.

3. Images (AI vision)

Did they send you a photo of physical inventory or notes from a napkin after a business lunch?

  • Upload the photo directly (JPG, PNG, WEBP, or GIF).
  • The same model reads the image and builds the draft proposal for you.

Human review

Cord AI is designed to be your copilot, not your replacement.

Once it processes your input, it doesn’t send anything to the client automatically. Instead, it generates a quote draft already structured from your catalog. You get the chance to:

  • Review that the selected products are correct.
  • Adjust quantities if there was any interpretation error.
  • Apply discounts and set the validity period before sending the link.

Frequently asked questions

Does Cord AI replace the sales rep? No. Cord AI generates a draft that always requires human review before sending. The sales rep keeps full control over prices, discounts, and commercial terms.

What file types can Cord AI process? Plain text (copied from emails or messages), a PDF file, and photos in JPG, PNG, WEBP, or GIF format. Spreadsheets aren’t processed by this assistant.

Does Cord AI work in any language? Yes. The model can interpret requests in Spanish, English, and other languages, mapping them to your catalog’s products regardless of the input language.

How accurate is Cord AI? It depends on how well-structured your catalog is: with clear names and defined SKUs, the AI matches products with more confidence than against a messy catalog or ambiguous names. The draft always goes through your review before sending, precisely because no automatic match is infallible.
