Your Cord subscription

Which plan you’re on, the currency you’re billed in, and where to manage your card, receipts, and invoice.

Two places, two different questions

Your subscription lives across two surfaces, and the split is deliberate:

  • Settings > Plans & subscription (/app/ajustes/plan) answers which plan you have and how much you’ve used: the period’s included quotas, the meters for AI, invoices, API and users, and plan changes.
  • billing.cordhq.app answers the money: your card, your receipts, your billing details, the invoice for your payments, and cancellation.

You reach the second from the first, using the session you already have open. No second sign-in.

Which currency Cord bills you in

Your subscription currency follows your business’s country — not the language you browse in, and not the currency you quote your own clients in:

Business country Subscription currency
Mexico Mexican pesos (MXN)
Everywhere else US dollars (USD)

Not the same as your sales currency. A business in Madrid quotes its clients in euros and pays Cord in dollars. Two separate decisions: yours lives in Settings > General, the platform’s is set by your country.

What you see published is what you’re charged: nothing is added at confirmation. Paying annually costs ten months, so you get two free.

If you already have an active subscription, your currency doesn’t change even if you later change your business’s country. It’s locked at your first charge and stays there; that’s a payment-processor constraint, not a preference.

Payment method

On billing.cordhq.app you can store several cards, mark which one is the default, and remove the ones you no longer use. The default is the card your next renewal charges.

You can’t remove your only card while a subscription is active. Add the new one first, then delete the old one — that way no renewal is left with nothing to charge.

Your card details never pass through Cord. The payment processor captures them directly in an encrypted field, and we only receive the confirmation.

If a charge didn’t go through

When a card declines, your subscription goes to past due and you’ll see a notice at the top of billing.cordhq.app with a button to settle it right there. Your plan stays active while the charge is pending, but not indefinitely — resolve it so you don’t lose your plan’s capabilities.

Receipts and invoices

Two different documents, worth not confusing:

  • The receipt is the record of the charge. It always exists, in every country, and downloads from the right-hand column of the charges table.
  • The invoice is the tax document. In Mexico, Cord issues your CFDI 4.0 stamped with the SAT.

Invoicing your subscription (Mexico)

  1. Go to billing.cordhq.app and scroll to Billing details.
  2. Enter your RFC, and make sure your tax regime and postal code are complete under Settings > Invoicing > Tax details. Without those three fields nothing can be stamped.
  3. In the Charges table, press Get invoice on the charge you need.
  4. The row changes to Invoiced. Your CFDI is issued to the tax details you entered.

A charge can only be invoiced once. Canceling an issued CFDI requires the recipient’s authorization with the SAT, so double-check your tax details before pressing Get invoice.

A $0 charge — fully covered by a discount, for instance — can’t be invoiced: there’s no income to declare. You’ll see a dash instead of the button.

Outside Mexico the invoice option doesn’t appear, and that isn’t a gap: your payment receipt is the document you record the expense with.

Changing plans

Done from Settings > Plans & subscription:

  • Upgrading applies immediately. You’re charged the prorated difference for what remains of your period, and your quotas adjust right away.
  • Downgrading is scheduled for the end of the period you already paid for. You keep your current plan until then.

Canceling

On billing.cordhq.app, Cancel schedules the end of your subscription for the close of the period you already paid for. You keep access until that date, and you can resume any time before it arrives.

When you cancel, your account returns to the Free plan:

  • Your data and settings are kept, intact. Nothing is deleted.
  • Anything above the Free plan’s limits stops working until you upgrade again. If you have more active quotes or more users than Free allows, those resources are still there but inoperative.
