Complete application map

An end-to-end view of where every Cord operation begins, changes, and finishes.

Cord organizes work around one commercial cycle: record the client, prepare the offer, negotiate, approve, collect, invoice, and follow up. Sections aren’t isolated databases; they expose different stages of the same clients, documents, and money movements.

The primary workflow

  1. Create or import the client under Clients.
  2. Create reusable products, services, or kits under Products.
  3. Prepare a quote manually, from a kit, or with an AI draft.
  4. Send the public link. Cord records the first view and keeps document activity.
  5. The client can chat, approve or reject, and choose a payment method when one is available.
  6. Cord records an online payment or a manually marked payment.
  7. The operation appears under Invoices and Collections according to its document, outstanding balance, and due date.
  8. Reports and Performance aggregate those results without creating another copy of the operation.

Visible options depend on permissions, the effective plan, the country of operation, and account setup. A page existing doesn’t mean every member can change it.

Quote states

State Operational meaning
draft Editable draft that hasn’t been sent.
sent Sent; the public link is available to the client.
viewed The client opened the quote for the first time.
approved The client recorded approval. A balance may remain outstanding.
rejected The client rejected the proposal.
expired Its validity period ended without closing.
paid A non-recurring flow is paid according to its recorded charges.
invoiced An invoice document is associated with the operation.

A recurring quote doesn’t become permanently paid: each installment creates its own payment and the subscription keeps a separate status.

Active organization and test mode

Cord is multi-company. Every client, product, quote, invoice, member, and setting belongs to the active organization. If you can access more than one, verify the organization switcher before importing, issuing, or configuring anything.

Test mode uses a separate sandbox organization. Its data doesn’t mix with production, and its keys, webhooks, and operations are test assets. Records created inside the sandbox won’t appear after returning to live mode.

Permissions that change the experience

The owner always has full access. Other members receive presets or section-level permissions for quotes, approvals, collections, clients, products, analytics, settings, payment configuration, refunds, and team administration.

If an action is missing, first check the member’s permission, then the plan and the setup required by that capability.

What changes by country

  • Signup is available in 12 markets: Mexico, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Peru.
  • Online payments are available in the first eight. The last four can quote, issue commercial invoices, and manage collections, but can’t activate Cord Payments yet.
  • Dynamic SPEI is Mexico-only.
  • Mexico can issue CFDI 4.0 with a valid CSD.
  • Outside Mexico, Cord issues a commercial invoice. Spain uses the Verifactu rail only when both the account and Cord’s regulatory integration are enabled.

Before treating something as an error

Check these in order:

  1. active organization and test mode;
  2. member permission;
  3. plan limit or capability;
  4. operating country and compatible method;
  5. required client, issuer, or document fields;
  6. previous quote, invoice, or payment state.

Then open the guide for that section. The Support Center handles specific incidents; these guides explain the complete operating model.
